Abrams is a close-range juggernaut who wins by walking into the enemy team and refusing to die. Siphon Life drains the enemies around him and heals him for a portion of the damage, so standing in the middle of a fight literally keeps him topped up. Shoulder Charge is his initiate — slam a target into a wall to stun them and pull them out of position. Infernal Resilience turns every hit he takes into stored regeneration, so the enemy's chip damage feeds him instead of killing him. Play him as the tip of the spear: start the fight, isolate one hero, and let his team clean up.
Strong vs: Abrams feasts on fragile backline heroes he can reach and pin down. Shoulder Charge pulls enemies in and a wall hit stuns them, which is exactly how he isolates a squishy carry from the rest of their team. Once he's on top of a target, Siphon Life keeps draining them while Case Closed finishes at point-blank. Enemies with no answer for being dragged into melee, like ranged damage dealers caught in bad positions, are his best prey.
Weak vs: Anything that keeps Abrams at arm's length or shuts down his engage gives him a hard time. His weapon falls off hard past 17m, so ranged heroes can whittle him down while he closes the distance. Shoulder Charge can be dispelled, and both it and Seismic Impact are disabled by Slowing Hex, so slows and dispels blunt his initiation. His engage cooldowns are long — 33s for Shoulder Charge and 215s for Seismic Impact — so baiting the charge and stepping away leaves him exposed. Infernal Resilience only stores healing over time; it doesn't stop a coordinated burst from killing him outright.
Haze is an assassin who wins by catching enemies out of position and deleting them before they can react. She sneaks in with Smoke Bomb, opens with a Sleep Dagger to knock a target out, then pours close-range fire from Censure & Penance into them while Fixation stacks up. Her whole kit rewards patience and target selection far more than brawling in the open. When a fight collapses into a desperate close-range scramble, Bullet Dance lets her keep firing with perfect accuracy and added bullet damage while dodging some return fire. Play her like a stalker: pick your moment, take the free kill, and slip back into the shadows to reset.
Strong vs: Haze is strongest against isolated, squishy targets: supports, backline damage dealers, and anyone who splits off to farm or rotate alone. She punishes players who don't watch their flanks, because Smoke Bomb lets her close distance unseen and Sleep Dagger removes their chance to react. She also thrives in chaotic close-range fights where Bullet Dance lets her ignore some return fire and finish off low-health enemies. Anyone who relies on fair, stand-up trades or needs to keep their distance finds it hard to answer a Haze who has already gotten on top of them.
Weak vs: Clustered teams are a problem, because within the Smoke Bomb spot radius close enemies can see straight through Haze's invisibility, so she can't ghost past a grouped-up team. Heroes with reliable reveals, roots, or hard crowd control catch her mid-dive and strip away her whole game plan. She struggles against tanky frontline heroes who can survive her burst window, since if the target is still standing after her magazine she has almost nothing left to spend. Sleep Dagger does not interrupt channeling abilities, so heroes who fight from a channel can keep their ability running straight through her engage. She is also fragile, and if she's caught before Smoke Bomb is up she has little to fall back on.
Abrams has the larger base health pool at 800, compared to 730 for Haze.
Abrams has the higher weapon DPS at 51.429, versus 50.095 for Haze.
Neither hero is strictly better — they fit different roles. Abrams is a Brawler and Haze is an Assassin, so the right pick depends on your team composition, the enemy draft, and which playstyle you are comfortable with. Check the win rates on our tier list for the current patch.
