Bebop is an isolating and disruptive golem who wins by yanking a single target out of position and dumping damage on them. Everything starts with Grapple Arm, a 30m hook that pulls the first character it hits, and it works on allies too, so he can save a teammate or drag a carry into his team. Once someone is reeled in, attach Sticky Bomb and hit them with Exploding Uppercut to launch them before the bomb detonates. His Humble Pie beam weapon has a short wind-up and a hard max range, so he is a mid-range fighter, not a sniper. Lock people down with the hook, burst them with the bomb and uppercut, and fall back on Hyper Beam to cut down whoever survives.
Strong vs: Bebop punishes anything that stands out of position. He is strong against squishy, immobile damage dealers who like to sit at range, because one hook drags them into his team and the Sticky Bomb plus Uppercut combo bursts them before they can react. He is also a strong peeler who uses Exploding Uppercut's knockback and Grapple Arm to pull divers off his own carries. In a teamfight he can isolate a single high-value target, turning a 5v5 into a 5v4. His Sticky Bomb gives him permanent scaling, so he only gets stronger the longer the match runs.
Weak vs: Bebop struggles when he misses the hook, because Grapple Arm is his whole initiation and its cooldown leaves him with no way in. He is vulnerable during Hyper Beam since he is locked in the air and easy to punish. His Humble Pie beam has a short wind-up and a hard max range, so long-range attackers can poke him from outside his reach. He also lacks mobility, so once he is the one being focused he has few tools to escape. He needs his team nearby to convert hooks, because alone he usually cannot finish most targets.
McGinnis is a Support and Disruption hero who reshapes the battlefield with deployables rather than winning straight-up duels. Her Services Rendered machine gun spins up over two seconds to a much higher fire rate and wider spread, so she wants to be shooting for extended stretches instead of trading quick pot-shots. Mini Turrets lock down lanes and objectives, Medicinal Specter keeps a squad topped up, Spectral Wall splits the terrain and traps enemies, and Heavy Barrage rains homing rockets on faraway targets. Play her as a zone-control anchor: set up turrets and healing before a fight, then use the wall to cut off escapes and the ult to punish anyone caught in the open. She is a force multiplier, not a frontline brawler, so positioning behind your team matters more than hunting a highlight solo kill.
Strong vs: McGinnis punishes heroes that stand still or dive into predictable spots, because a pre-placed turret and an erupted wall leave them nowhere to go. Squishy casters and long-range snipers feel the pressure of Mini Turrets and Heavy Barrage reaching them without her committing. Assassins that rely on a single gap-closer can get trapped the moment Spectral Wall erupts. Teams that clump up around objectives are ideal targets for her rockets and turret focus. She is strongest in any fight where she gets to set up ahead of time.
Weak vs: Mobile heroes that can hop over or dash past Spectral Wall largely ignore her main control tool. Bursty divers who close the gap before turrets spin up can delete her, since she has low mobility and a slow-firing weapon early. Long-range poke and healing reduction wear her down while her deployables are on cooldown. Enemies who quickly clear turrets can deny her zone control and collect the bounty. Any pick that forces her to fight alone in the open negates her support strengths.
Bebop has the larger base health pool at 880, compared to 780 for McGinnis.
McGinnis has the higher weapon DPS at 72.381, versus 59.287 for Bebop.
Neither hero is strictly better — they fit different roles. Bebop is a Brawler and McGinnis is a Mystic, so the right pick depends on your team composition, the enemy draft, and which playstyle you are comfortable with. Check the win rates on our tier list for the current patch.
